SUSTECH PRO 6C Specifications

OVERVIEW

This ECU is designed around a fully operating a 6 cylinder engine. It is aimed at the more serious automotive enthusiasts.

It has been garnished with a more comprehensive stack of safety features to keep your precious engine alive. It achieves this by being able to protect your engine against failures such as: oil pressure failure, fuel pressure failure or radiator pressure spikes (beginning of head gasket failure). These safety features keep you assured that your engine will be at its peak performance for a long time to come.

Below we give a brief overview of what the SUSTECH PRO 6C ECU has to offer followed by a more detailed description of each feature as well as discussing the more advanced functions under that.

SAFETY FEATURES

On Board Diagnostics (OBD)

  • Allows the user to set the ECU to check for possible issues real time.
  • ECU can save up to 4 different errors to internal memory. This is remembered even if the ECU losses power or is switched off.
  • Connects to an external Engine Warning Light to alert the user of any issues.
  • Engine Warning Light has 4 selectable actions per each type of error code according to severity. Options are from lowest to highest priority: no warning light, light turns on permanently, Light flashes slowly, Light flashes fast or urgently
  • Multiple warning levels allows 1 Warning light to display multiple errors

Status LEDs

  • LEDs for System Voltage as well as Engine Voltage
  • Intelligent Injector LED’s show if injectors are pulsing correctly

Radiator Fans

  • Error Detection on Radiator fan input for wire failure or unplugging during operation to force radiator fans on

Variable Boost Control

  • Multiple Boost control strategies available, each with its own boost limiter
  • Boost Limiter versus Fuel Map selection
  • Separate Boost Limiters for Low, Medium and High boost Settings

Rev Limiters

  • Each fuel map has its own settable Rev limiter. They can also be set to cut fuel, spark, or both

ADVANCED FUNCTIONS

OUTPUTS

Closed Loop Advanced PID Idle Control (2 wire)

  • Fast accurate Idle control
  • Full Control of PID settings for an accurate and smooth idle
  • Helps with start-up by opening the Idle valve fully during cranking
  • Improved Cold-Start performance
  • Cold Start Idle-Up Feature
  • Advanced Linearize function for hard to set Idle Valves with non-linear opening characteristics
  • Idle Valve Setting can be selected from a preset list for easy initial setup according to engine type

GPO General Purpose Outputs

  • GPO Function can be set to any function via laptop software
  • Some GPO Functions can be set to more than 1 GPO at the same time. Eg. 2 x radiator fans set to activate at consecutive temperatures

Variable Boost Control

  • Multiple different boost control strategies are available
  • Boost Control versus Fuel Map Selection
  • Three Stage Boost Control for Low, Medium and High boost settings with a switch or rotary switch
  • Variable Boost with calibration settings for fully variable boost

INPUTS

Anti-Lag Launch Control

  • Fast response to produce boost quicker
  • User can activate at idle but the ECU will not initiate Launch function until at the set Launch RPM
  • Override Boost Control Solenoid Setting to Reduce boost while in Launch Mode. (Cannot reduce below wastegate spring)

Spinning Function

  • Special purpose spinning function with 4 stages
  • Each Stage has its own RPM point and Delay time

Lambda Sensor Input

  • Connects to most popular External Lambda (AFR) Controllers
  • Preset calibrations for these sensors are set when selecting Lambda Controller
  • Fast response real time calibrations
  • Fully settable real time fuel economy settings
  • Can be selected to compensate at idle as well

Variable Boost input

  • Connects to any standard POT to allow the user to dial the boost they wish while driving.
  • Boost POT can be calibrated to allow the POT to add a pre-defined amount of boost
  • Boost Switch can be used for 3 stage boost control

Fuel Map Selection Input

  • Allows the user to select which fuel map to use at any point

TUNING FUNCTIONS

TUNING

Twin Fuel Maps

  • Allows for tuning of multiple fuels eg. Petrol (Gasoline), Methanol and Ethanol. Simply select the fuel map via a dashboard switch.
  • Use Map 1 for low cam and Map 2 for VTEC Cam. ECU can select the maps when engaging VTEC.
  • Maps can be selected manually or selected by the ECU logic routines depending on what is happening in real time

Laptop data logging

  • Data log all available channels directly to the laptop
  • Logging rate of all channels at up to 250 Hz
  • Save datalogs to your hard drive for viewing at a later stage
  • Can be used for tuning and diagnostics
  • Logs Fuel ms, Fuel Duty %, Ignition Timing, Lambda (AFR), Water temp, Air Temp, Battery Voltage, MAP Sensor (boost/vacuum), TPS, Idle valve %, and more

Fuel Map Size

  • Table Resolution selectable up to 17 x 11 load sites for more tuning accuracy
  • Select a lower table size to shorten tuning time

Ignition Map Size

  • Table Resolution up to 6 x 11

RPM Ranges Selectable

  • User selectable from 500rpm spacing up to 1200rpm spacing
